Scope and Content Symbol stone from Newbigging Leslie, Aberdeenshire This symbol stone was originally found at Newbigging Leslie farm, 5 miles SE of Kennethmont. It is now stands in a shelter by the East Garden in the grounds of Leith Hall. This is a view of the stone. There are three symbols carved on it. At the top is a rectangle, decorated with spirals, beneath which is a wolf. In front of this is a mirror-and-comb. The feet of the wolf have been re-carved due to damage to the stone. The wolf is very similar to that carved on a stone from Ardross and now in Inverness Museum. The mirror is similar to one on the Picardy Stone. Source: RCAHMS contribution to SCRAN.
