Scope and Content Cup-and-ring markings at High Banks, Dumfries and Galloway The cup-and-ring marked rock is in a field 400 m SE of High Banks farm. It is one of the best examples of prehistoric art in Galloway. This is a view of the rock carving. There are several groups of cup-markings and cup-and-ring-markings. The largest ring has a diameter of nearly 0.5 m. Casts of the markings can be found in Stewartry Museum. Source: RCAHMS contribution to SCRAN.
