Description General photographic view from SE. Insc. 'The Forth Bridge. 5071.' Insc. below the photograph: 'The Forth Bridge is one of the greatest triumphs of modern engineering. The total length is one and a fifth of a mile and is 450 feet from base to highest point. Constructed by Sir William Arrol from designs by Sir John Fowler and Sir Benjamin Baker. The Bridge was opened on 4th March 1890 by HRH The Prince of Wales.'
