Scope and Content Standing stones known as the Giant's Stones at Hamnavoe, West Mainland, Shetland The Giant's Stones are on a hillside at Hamnavoe. They consist of a pair of standing stones some 20 m apart in an E-W line. There is no obvious reason for their location, and unlike certain other stones, they could not be seen from the sea. This is a view of the two stones. A third stone was reported in 1774, but its relationship to the other two is unknown. Source: RCAHMS contribution to SCRAN.
