Scope and Content Settlement at Gruting School, West Mainland, Shetland The settlement at Gruting School is built on the hillside. It consists of two oval houses and some small cairns made up from stones cleared from the fields. One of the houses is cut in two by the road and there was a third, now under the school's garage. This is a view of a number of the stone tools found at the site. They are simple flaked and retouched fragments of local stone. Source: RCAHMS contribution to SCRAN.
