Scope and Content Broch at Dun Telve, Glenelg, Skye and Lochalsh, Highland The broch at Dun Telve is one of the most impressive there is. About one third of the walls still stand to over 10 m high. A number of stone lamps, quernstones and whorls were found in 1914 when the broch was cleared out. Four galleries within the thickness of the wall and the remains of a fifth can still be seen. The outer wall tapers inward in the classic broch shape. The remains of two scarcement ledges, cells and a staircase are also visible. Source: RCAHMS contribution to SCRAN.
