Scope and Content Broch at Dun Dornaigil, Sutherland, Highland Dun Dornaigil broch is also known as Dun Dornadilla. It stands by the road on a low terrace above the Strathmore River. Though the outer wall remains, the inner wall has collapsed and been replaced by a modern buttress. This view shows the remains of the broch. The entrance, now blocked, with its triangular lintel can be clearly seen and the section of outer wall above survives. Much of the rest has collapsed to floor level. There used to be three mural galleries. Source: RCAHMS contribution to SCRAN.
