Scope and Content Antonine Wall at Seabegs Wood, Falkirk, Stirling The Antonine Wall was constructed by Roman soldiers in AD 142 or 143 to form a barrier across the narrowest part of Britain between the Rivers Forth and Clyde. This is an aerial view of the Wall. It is built above a slope, giving it both a higher ground advantage, and a clear view over the valley of the Bonny Water. Behind the Wall can be seen the Military Way. Source: RCAHMS contribution to SCRAN.
