Scope and Content Settlement at Scord of Brouster, West Mainland Shetland The neolithic settlement site at Scord of Brouster is probably the most complete and understandable site on the islands. The site consists of at least four houses, clearance cairns, enclosures and field systems. There is also a later ring cairn. This is a view of the site. One enclosure with an oval house can be seen, and there are at least three more houses nearby. The contemporary fields cover about 2 ha. The ring-cairn is close to the first house.
