Scope and Content Symbol stone at Ardlair, Aberdeenshire This symbol stone is at Ardlair. It is one of two standing stones near a farmhouse. The symbols are carved on the SE face. The is a view of the stone. There are three symbols carved on it. The largest is a Pictish Beast. In front of it is a symbol resembling a tuning-fork. Below the Beast is a mirror. All three symbols are very faint. Source: RCAHMS contribution to SCRAN.
