Scope and Content Cross-slab from St Peter's Church, Invergowrie, Angus This cross-slab is one of two stones which were first recorded built into the wall of the ruined church at Invergowrie. They were built, one above the other, into an empty window opening. They are now in the Royal Museum of Scotland. This is a drawing of the stone which appeared in John Stuart's 1856 publication 'The Sculptured Stones of Scotland'. This face has a group of three clerics at the top. Below is a pair of interlaced beasts. The carvings are surrounded by a keywork frame. Source: RCAHMS contribution to SCRAN.
