Scope and Content Plans of Kintore Town-house, Aberdeenshire Kintore Town-house is said to have been begun in 1737 and completed ten years later. A north-west wing was added around 1800, perhaps by a local mason. Originally the building was rectangular in plan. The extension at the rear was added around 1800 when the connecting door was blocked to make the wing self-contained. Source: RCAHMS contribution to SCRAN.
