Scope and Content Letter from Sir Francis Tress Barry, House of Commons Library, to Dr J Anderson. Contents include the report of a preliminary investigation of a possible side chamber in South Yarrows South chambered cairn (ND34SW 5) by Murdoch and J Nicolson of Nybster on behalf of Sir Francis Tress Barry, in preparation for the latter's visit with J Anderson later in the year. Enclosed are three sketches made by Nicolson (CAD/53/1-3). Also included is a report of a preliminary investigation of a broch at 'Hill of Works', Barrock (ND26SE 2) by Murdoch on behalf of Sir Francis Tress Barry; and a mound described as 'beyond the entrance to Barroch drive and which is said to have stood in an old loch before it was drained some years ago. I suspect it is an old tower'. The most likely identification of this site is called 'Ring of Castle Hill', Lyth.
