Drawing showing foundation and roof plans of a design for tenement buildings, Canongate, Edinburgh.

DPM 1850/47/1/2

Description Drawing showing foundation and roof plans of a design for tenement buildings, Canongate, Edinburgh.

Date 13/6/1853

Collection Records of Dick Peddie and McKay, architects, Edinburgh, Scotland

Catalogue Number DPM 1850/47/1/2

Category Prints and Drawings

Scope and Content Titled: "No 4. F". Signed and dated "J Dick Peddie, Architect, Edinr. 10 Nelson Street. 13th Ju[ne]." These plans appear to be for the site 154-166 Canongate, "Sugarhouse Close", which was the property of William MacFie, a sugar merchant. Despite sharing the same date, these plans differ slightly from the tenement at 1850/47/1/1 and are likely part of a set of alternate plans for this site.
