Scope and Content Brown leather clothed album containing 30 mounted silver gelatin photographs, mostly by W Ralston, relating to electricity generation in Glasgow in the 1910s. Images of construction work and electricity generation sites at Dennistoun, Kinning Park, Buchanan Street, Osbourn Street, Cathedral Street and Dalmarnock. Album also includes 2 photographs of Glasgow Corporation electric vehicles at Mathieson Road Garage. Also, loose photographs and notes including two large photographs of electric lighting for the 1911 Scottish National Exhibition; photograph of opening ceremony at power station; interior view of station (3 copies); 2 views of illumination of Glasgow Municipal Buildings; photograph of turbo-alternators of the Tummel Bridge Station Power House; postcard view of tearoom with electric lights; 6 colour photographs of modern buildings in Glasgow. Also, notes on Jubilee temporary lighting cable and Peace Celebrations 1919. Also, plan of Mazda 'J' Type Exterior Flood Lantern.
