Scope and Content Warehouses, Harbour Street, Portmahomack, Highland Portmahomack expanded into a fishing village after 1815 when it acquired a new harbour to replace a ruined stone pier dating from the 17th century. These warehouses pre-date the new harbour. The long, three-storeyed, building (left) was constructed in 1779. The shorter building with the crow-stepped gables (right) was constructed in around 1700.
