Scope and Content Standing stone at Learable Hill, Sutherland, Highland A number of prehistoric monuments can be found on the flat southern part of Learable Hill. These include a standing stone which was reused in early Christian times, clearance cairns, a burial cairn and stone rows. This is a view of the standing stone. A cross has been cut into one face showing the Christianising of a pagan monument. The stone had already been in place for c.2000 suggesting a continuing purpose through the Iron Age and beyond.
