Scope and Content Fire Station, Carnegie Drive, Dunfermline, Fife The Fire Station in Carnegie Drive was built by James Shearer in 1934-6. The style, achieved with harling and blue brick, is probably influenced by the architect Dudok, but also suggests the work of Charles Rennie Mackinstosh. The tower on the left is used for drills and practice rescues. Source: RCAHMS contribution to SCRAN.
