Scope and Content Top of tower, St Leonard's Church, Dunfermline, Fife St Leonard's Church was built in 1903-4 by P MacGregor Chalmers in a style influenced by Scottish early Christian architecture. Inside is a wealth of decorative artwork and craftsmanship dating from the first part of the 20th century. This is the top of the tall round tower at the east end of the church. It is of a type associated with early Christian structures in Ireland and Scotland and resembles an early medieval example at Brechin Cathedral. Source: RCAHMS contribution to SCRAN.
