Scope and Content Range, ground-floor west room, Cromarty Court-house, Cromarty, Highland Cromarty Court-house was built in the late 18th century by George Ross, owner of Cromarty estate, to accommodate the county and burgh councils. The rear cell-block was added in the 1840s. This cast iron range would have heated the ground-floor west room. Source: RCAHMS contribution to SCRAN.
