Scope and Content Steeple, Earlsferry Town-house, Fife Earlsferry Town-house replaced an older building in a poor condition. Its construction was one of the first acts of a new town council elected in 1871 after the town had been run by managers for twenty years. The steeple all that is left of the earlier building which was least as old as the 1772 date-stone. However, the belfry is Victorian. The bell was cast by John C Wilson of Glasgow in 1864.
