Scope and Content Cloakroom, ground-floor, Ardross Castle, Highland Ardross Castle was built in its present form as a Victorian Scots Baronial mansion in 1880-1 by Alexander Ross incorporating parts of an earlier house. This is the cloakroom. A Roman-style mosaic covers its floor and the lower part of its walls. Source: RCAHMS contribution to SCRAN.
