Scope and Content South bound platform, Inverkeithing Central Signal Box, Inverkeithing Station, Inverkeithing, Fife Inverkeithing Station was rebuilt in 1890 as a two-platform through-station. Most of it was replaced by modern structures in the late 20th century. This shows the south-bound platform before the station was remodelled. The Edinburgh-Inverkeithing-Dundee, or Fife, line of the North British Railway was opened on 17 September, 1847 by the then Edinburgh and Northern Railway. Source: RCAHMS contribution to SCRAN.
