Scope and Content Dunbar's Hospital, Church Street, Inverness, Highland Dunbar's Hospital was built as an almshouse in 1668 by Provost Alexander Dunbar, possibly incorporating parts of earlier structures. He is said to have used materials from the burgh's demolished Citadel. The hospital (left) has two-storeys and an attic. The pediments of the attic dormer windows are carved with Biblical texts and the date 1668. To the right is Bow Court, built in about 1725. Source: RCAHMS contribution to SCRAN.
