Scope and Content Chambered cairn at Vinquoy, Eday, Orkney This chambered cairn is at Vinquoy. It is built on a hilltop and has good views of the surrounding area. It is built on a slope with the floor being levelled. The chamber is well preserved and shows the skills of the builders in using drystone walling. This is a view of the entrance to the cairn. The passage gives access to the burial chamber. The chamber itself is built into the hillside, with this entrance downslope. Source: RCAHMS contribution to SCRAN.
