Scope and Content A collection of photographs and a drawing relating to Granton Gasworks, Edinburgh by Tony Zayachkivsky. The collection comprises of 58 scans of colour photographs and a drawing of Granton Gasworks. Also 25 colour images of Edinburgh and Fife taken from the top of Number 3 Gasholder. The earliest set of images date from 1986 when Tony Zayachkivsky was instructed to produce architectural record drawings of the former Station at Granton Gasworks. The 1987 images record the installation of a new fire escape stair, designed by him, on the SSE front of the former Station. Images of the surrounding Gas Works buildings were also included with both surveys. The last set of photographs date from the 1990s and are taken from the top of Number 3 Gasholder when gas staff were able to visit. Also, 47 additional photographs of the station building along with 2 digital model scans (2021/42).

System of Arrangement The collection is catalogued and has been arranged into two groups comprising of photographs and drawing of Granton Gasworks, Edinburgh and photographs taken from the top of Number 3 Gasholder. The images are catalogued by film number.

Administrative History Tony Zayachkivsky was employed from 1986 by British Gas Scotland as an Architectural Technician. He held various roles in the industry until leaving the sector in 2002.
