Scope and Content Handwritten inscription on reverse of print 'Stone Basin in the upper cemetery at Nereabols, Rhinns, Islay. This basin has been fractured but from the shape was probably used for dipping the stones called the Priests Feet in. View No.1. May 1925.' Handwritten inscription affixed to negative: 'Kildalton Church, Islay. Stone Basin on the ground near Church Door'. The inscription on the print would appear to be the more accurate labelling. It is also described in MS 405/1A, pp, 89-91.
