Scope and Content Until 1767, St Michael's was the parish church for Kirkmichael parish, after which it fell into disrepair. Now listed, it has been re-roofed. The image shows a number of grave slabs in the top right corner of the graveyard. The larger L part is the mausoleum, which in 2018 was converted into a visitor centre to contain many of the fine gravestones in this burial ground, and also that of Cullicudden.
