Scope and Content Millburn Academy is towards the bottom right of this photo. The Cameron Barracks are at the bottom and the Millburn Distillery is just coming into view in the bottom right-hand corner. The top of the picture shows part of the east side of Inverness with the river at top right. Millburn Junior Secondary School opened 1961 and it developed into 6-year secondary school in 1980s. In 2008 new building was opened, built on the old school playing fields. The Cameron Barracks were built in 1880-1886. The Millburn Distillery was the oldest of Inverness's three distilleries. It was opened in 1807 and closed in 1985 when the main building was converted into a bar and restaurant. It's now a Premier Inn.
