Scope and Content The image shows Kilcoy Mains Farm in front of Kilcoy Castle, slightly shaded within the trees. Kilcoy Castle, completed in the early C17, is a Z-plan tower house. It fell into a ruinous state during the late 18th and 19th Centuries and was restored in 1891 by the Inverness Architects Ross and McBeth, who added a four-storey wing to the north. It has four storeys with two round corner towers. Title and Scope & Content contributed by North of Scotland Archaeological Society (2021).
