Scope and Content The image is centred on the ruins of the main settlement at Urchany, called Claiginn on old estate maps. The remains of two enclosures and three dwellings are clearly seen, although there are less conspicuous remains identified during an extensive survey of the area by North of Scotland Archaeological Society in 2015. Participants in that survey can be seen in the L lower quadrant, just below the recently discovered and now scheduled Bronze Age bowl barrow.
