Scope and Content The image is centred on the ruins of the main settlement at Urchany, called Claiginn on old estate maps. The remains of two enclosures and three dwellings are clearly seen, although there are less conspicuous remains identified during an extensive survey of the area by North of Scotland Archaeological Society in 2015. Just below the centre of the photo, above the rhomboidal enclosure, is a scheduled bowl barrow, probably Bronze Age. The Breakachy Burn runs from bottom R to top L.
