A building appears on this site in the 2nd ed. 6" OS map marked as a police station and Pastmap labels it as the coach house, but for at least 50 years it has been known as Brockies Lodge. There is a chambered cairn and the footings of a cottage in the trees at centre. Lovat Shinty pitch at Balgate is at bottom left. Title and Scope & Content contributed by North of Scotland Archaeological Society (2021).
