Scope and Content This is a panoramic view of Loch Ness, with the familiar shape of Meall Fuar-mhonaidh in the distance. Aldourie Castle is among the trees at bottom left. Aldourie was first recorded as a laird's house in 1626 and is now the only habitable castle on Loch Ness. It's a modern sporting estate and hired out to private parties.
