Scope and Content In this view of Lochardil, the Primary School, opened in 1964, is in the centre and the Lochardil House Hotel is to its left. Lochardil House was built in 1876-78 and became a hotel in 1956. At top right is the IRA. In 1977 it moved from Midmills to Culduthel and this building has since been replaced on the same site. Culduthel House, a late C18 manor house and once part of Culduthel Hospital but now converted into flats, can just be identified among the trees the academy. The Gaelic Primary School is at centre top and moved to this custom-built building in 2007. MacDonald Park is on the upper left. Title and Scope & Content contributed by North of Scotland Archaeological Society (2021).
