Scope and Content A close view of part of central Dingwall with the Cromarty Memorial obelisk built on top of a mound, the probable original Viking Thing site from which the town gets its name. To its right is the 18th century St Clements Parish church surrounded by a cemetery and encircling wall. Within the burial ground the St Clements Aisle ruins - all that survives of the medieval church and a carved Pictish Stone. The large supermarket car park to the right of St Clements is on the site of the former market. Title and Scope & Content contributed by North of Scotland Archaeological Society (2021).
