Scope and Content Moniack Castle was built in 1580 and in 1978 a winery was opened, producing a range of wines including silver birch, rowanberry and elderberry. A range of liqueurs and jellies was later added. The winery is now (2020) closed. A cup-marked stone is recorded in the rockery at the castle.
