Scope and Content This view focuses on Beechwood Farm which was built in the C19 and raised bulls for breeding purposes. In 2010 it was identified as the ideal site for the new UHI campus. This was opened in 2015. At the bottom of the photo is part of Inverness Retail and Business Park established in 1996. Investigation ahead of both these developments identified prehistoric remains. Inshes Retail Park, developed in the late 1990s, is at top right. The A9 runs from top left to centre right and the B9006 crosses it towards the top of picture. The B9006 follows the line of the old A9 and originally crossed the new A9 by a staggered crossing which was deemed to be too dangerous. The bridge was built c. 1982. Title and Scope & Content contributed by North of Scotland Archaeological Society (2021).
