Scope and Content The photo shows the River Lochy (bottom right) and the River Nevis joining it. Note the Nevis joined the Lochy further west but was diverted in the 1960s. It shows the village of Inverlochy built in the 1920s and 1930s for workers at the aluminium smelter, the former distillery buildings and the railway (opened 1890s) entering Fort William. Just to the left of the picture is the site of the battle of Inverlochy (1645). Title and Scope & Content contributed by North of Scotland Archaeological Society (2021).
