Scope and Content Tain is in the centre of the photo, with the A9 to the left and the railway line from Inverness to the north on the right. In the distance is the Dornoch Firth, Dornoch Bridge and Ness of Portnaculter. There are numerous Canmore and HER references for Tain. Knockbrek house and walled garden are in the trees just L of centre. The house c. 1820 and gate piers are listed and possibly on the site of an earlier building or castle.
