Scope and Content This is a general view of Milton of Redcastle on the north shore of the Beauly Firth. Killearnan church, burial ground and manse are at the bottom of the picture and there are quarries in the woodland next to them. The church was built in 1745 and originally thatched. In 1891 it was reroofed and heightened and a Gothic bellcote was added. The manse dates to 1891. The schoolhouse is at centre left. Redcastle itself is in the woodland towards the top of the picture.
