Scope and Content This is a close view of a roundhouse and cairnfield near Essich. This hut circle is out with, east of the area of hut circles, cairnfields and rig surveyed by the Ordnance Survey in 1970. From the information at MHG3534 (on the Historic Environment Record) this is probably one of the additional hut circles (NH 6499 3803) identified in this area by aerial photography (RCAHMSAP 1994).
