DP 342572

Description Near aerial view of the Crown, Inverness, looking SE.

Date 3/2/2012

Collection Papers of James Sloan Bone, landscape historian, Inverness, Highland, Scotland

Catalogue Number DP 342572

Category On-line Digital Images

Scope and Content This view of Inverness focuses on the area known as the Crown and though there are many historic sites in the area, none can be clearly seen. At lower right is the car park of Morrison's store. This was built on the site of the cattle market and before that the roundhouse associated with the railway. Part of the Eastgate Shopping Centre is above the car park. Just coming into view on the left is Millburn Academy and towards the top of the photo the two green areas are Fraser Park and Walker Park at Kingsmills. Title and Scope & Content contributed by North of Scotland Archaeological Society (2021).
