Scope and Content This photo looks NW across the Braelangwell Burn, W of Braelangwell Mains on the Black Isle. Immediately above the burn are a number of circular features, almost certainly cattle feeding stances. To the NW of the gully of the burn, are a series of mounds in the fields, probably post-glacial rather than artificial. At the NE corner (i.e. middle top) of the furthest field is an area of disturbed ground, with apparently a brick building on it. Aerial photos in 2020 show that this building is now removed, and the field under cultivation. A circular enclosure, possibly an estate woodland enclosure was identified for the first time in 2018 in the woodland at the top of the photo. Title and Scope & Content contributed by North of Scotland Archaeological Society (2021).
