Scope and Content This is a close view focussing on the site of the fabrication yard and sand and gravel workings on the River Conon at Conon Bridge. The road bridge carries the A862 and was opened in 1969, replacing the original Telford Bridge built in 1806-09. The railway bridge was opened in 1862 and designed by Joseph Mitchell. The Conon Hotel is at the left of picture. Title and Scope & Content contributed by North of Scotland Archaeological Society (2021).
