Scope and Content This monument was constructed on Cnoc Fyrish, overlooking the Cromarty Firth. It is said to have been constructed by Sir Hector Munro of Novar to represent the gates of Negatapam, the scene of one of his victories in India, and to provide work for local unemployed people.
