Scope and Content This is a general view of the Lochardil area of Inverness. Towards the top right is Drummond School which provides primary and secondary education for students with additional support needs. The present building was built in 2008, replacing the original building. Lochardil Primary School, built in 1964, is down and to the left of this building and the open area between the two is the Macdonald Play Park. The Lochardil House Hotel is just above the centre left of picture. At the top of the photo are the Ness Islands and the Bught Park can be seen on the other side of the river with the Highland Archive Centre, which was opened in 2009, towards top left.
