Scope and Content Ardersier (alternative name Campbelltown) is a small former fishing village on the Moray firth near Fort George. There are numerous references to various houses of note. The farm in the middle foreground is Mains of Ardersier. The road in the foreground is on the line of the old military road to Fort George. The Black Isle is in the distance.
