Scope and Content A distant view of Fortrose, with many Canmore references of the buildings . Of major importance is the ruined cathedral, in the centre of the photo, origins about 1235, from this period only the undercroft of the chapter house remains. The vaulted south aisle and bell tower from late 14c survives. The other Church visible is Fortrose Free Church. Title and Scope & Content contributed by North of Scotland Archaeological Society (2021).
