Scope and Content This is a view of Inverness airport with Dalcross Industrial Estate behind. The airport was built on the land of Wester and Mid Kerrowgair Farms as an RAF station in 1940. In 1947 it replaced the airfield at the Longman in Inverness as the airport for Inverness and started taking civil traffic. There are several sites associated with WW2 within the boundaries of the airport. Title and Scope & Content contributed by North of Scotland Archaeological Society (2021).
